Baby Dodge

Today the kids and I babysat our friends Stephanie and Bernie's baby Dodge.  Charlie has a new besty!  We had a great time and Caro makes a great babysitter (she told her brother to "shuuuuuuuush" about every 5 seconds while "Baby Dodge" was sleeping:

"Hey kid, I'll play with you in a second. Mickey Mouse is on the tube."
"Alright, lets play some ball..... well at least try to catch it!"
"This is exhausting, I'll just lay down with you."
"Nevermind.... Mickey Mouse is back on."

Matt just emailed me this.... I wonder how clean he will be when I get home from work???

Hot Dog!

What an interesting week the Mullers have had.  We started with a stomach bug which we promptly passed along to each other and our loved ones (sorry Nana Rose and Pap Pap!), headed to Disney on Ice Friday night which was FAB-U-LOUS, and on Saturday spent some time with Uncle Andrew on his birthday and watched the Cats play the Cards with Nana Rose (which is when we passed on the sickness :(  Anywho, it was an awesome weekend!  Disney on Ice was great.  I was so nervous about taking Charlie but literally the kid sat stone cold still the entire two hours... he was mesmerized!  We did get suckered into buying a Ariel light up wand for 20 buckaroos!! You've got to watch that Mickey... he'll rob you blind!

Enjoy the pics:

Downtown Dynamos!

Ariel with the fro had to come too
awe-struck

After the flying escapade Caroline decided that she would be Tinkerbell for Halloween and Charlie should be Captain Hook!
The $20 solid gold wand

pooped out!

Charlie was a Card fan for the day
And Caro cheered for the CATS! Happy Birthday Doo Doo!

I'm a Big Kid Now

So I finally caved.... I cut his beautiful curly locks.  Actually Ms. Latisha did at the Fantastic Sams in Middletown :)  An FYI for all toddler parents out there: Fantastic Sams will cut a baby's hair for the first time for free!  I was going to wait to have my sister in Lexington chop his locks with some love but Mimi was with us on Saturday, and Mimi decided it was time for a cut. and what Mimi says goes!  Enjoy the pics:

A little kiss from Mommy...not my baby anymore!

Why you spraying my Ms. Tisha???

Yikes! He's a wiggle-worm...sorrry Ms. Tisha!

We aren't leaving until you get us a sucker Mimi!

Life's a Fair

So on Saturday we decided to truck on down to the KY State Fair.  We were planning on going to the Zoo Glacier Run exhibit but once I mentioned that there were baby piggies at the fair that was where we were headed; no ifs, ands, or buts about it (the main "but" being that there was a huge concert going on that night and Matt and I knew that it would be packed!)  Oh well, more people watching for us!
(Caroline loves pigs... her favorite TV show being about a British pig named Peppa and her little brother George.  Has anyone else seen Peppa Pig?  We now know every word to Peppa Pig, even Grandad knows every word to Peppa Pig.  The other day Caroline called a glass of juice a "beaker" of juice and it seems that she has developed a slight Madonna accent...enough Peppa Pig!  My sister Carla came in from Lexington the other week for a visit and noticed that a lot of the children's shows involve cute little porky people... and they are the only shows my kids watch "Olivia", "Peppa" and "Toot and Puddle".  So to sum it up, my kids like pigs.)
After an hour and a half car wait (thank God for Daddy's Iphone that plays Netflix movies!), 40 bucks to just get our car in and park, and a tiny "I'm starving" tantrum via Charlie, we were off to find the pigs!
We had an awwesome time!  The kids loved it!  The Discovery Farm exhibit is a must for anyone with children; they of course have the baby piggies, little ducks that slide down a slide, baby cows, horses, chicks, bunnies..... all in all it was too cute and you could pet almost everything!

The cows were a bit stinky...Caro didn't like the looks of them

Much better!  A smaller, less smelly duckling

Good Lord Almight! It's Donkey from Shrek! How lucky are we!!!
We also visited the Safety City where "Uncle Brents" taught Caroline how to safely ride a trike around the city, being super mindful of stop lights :)  P.S. Matt's brother is a cop and every other cop in this fine nation of ours is now known as an "Uncle Brent".

What you talkin about Uncle Brent?

She's off!!!

New Day: New Outfit :)

Told you I was super excited about the Shaheen's experience: today we rocked out the skort and matching headband.
I was a little nervous this morning because as a teacher I know that the second day of school tends to be a bit rougher than the first.  The first day is exciting and new and the second tends to be a little scary "the oh crap she's leaving me here for the day" reaction.  So I braced myself, prepped for the tears, hopped in the car and headed to carpool.  Pulled up, and once again it was "bye Mom" and she was off and running.  Well....I guess it's a good thing.
Charlie and I walked up to St. Albert at 11 to pick her up and Ms. Lou, one of her teachers (who by the way wear the cutest St. Albert Preschool aprons) said she had another great day! Hooray!

Catholic School Rules!

So it's a dawn of a new era... no longer is Mrs. Muller spending her days hangin with 8th graders, but only one crazy one year old (and a 3 year old after 11:15).  This year we decided to slow our pace down a bit, relax a little more, and enjoy our little life at home.
Caroline started preschool today, which convienently is located a street over from our house (for all of you who know us well, we tend to run a bit late).  I think what we were most excited about was the trip to Shaheens for the uniforms!!! I have to say I went a bit crazy, but did you know that they now make bows, headbands, doll clothes,  ect. to match those cute little plaid jumpers??? Good Lord, I was in heaven!  Even got the knee socks for the winter :)
So here she is, our little Catholic school girl, starting her first day of the 11 years she will spend at our church's grade school (and I couldn't be a more proud Mommy!)

I'm three!!! (Three fingers are sometimes hard to hold up!)

Saying goodbye to Daddy

And p.s..... I did shed a few tears in the carpool line when she got out of the car and walked that cute little tush into the gymnasium with the Ariel backpack (thats almost as big as her) bouncing around.  She looked...she waved... she screamed "I love you!" and thats when the eyes watered up :)

3 is the Word

This past week Caroline Rose Muller turned 3 (and her Mimi turned 34.. wink wink).  3 years ago after days of labor and 6 hours of pushing this wonderful bright eyed creature entered the world.  And our lives changed forever...

We started the festivities with a pool party for friends... Ariel themed of course.  Everyone had a great time, especially Charlie who raided everyones cake plates at the end of the day:

Then our cousins came in town from Dallas and we were able to celebrate Caroline and Mimi's birthdays with them with zoo and pool trips:

Cousin Emma

Playing "Happy Birthday" to Mimi

Then another family party at the house (the big bear has ironically been named "Little Bill"):

Then the next day Mommy and Daddy worked the St. Albert picnic while the kids bounced the night away (we were a little scared of the dino bouncer though)

Bouncers! Bouncers NOW!

And the first ballet class this week.  I've been so excited about this!  Caroline is taking ballet and tap where I used to a very long time ago.  I couldn't believe that she had the same teacher I did!

Cutie Batooties!!!
Needless to say the Mullers are a bit worn out!

Happy Birthday Turtle... we love you!
